This course is designed to teach students how to plan and successfully execute video productions under both field and studio conditions. Proper pre-production will be emphasized along side safety and basic legal issues related to modern videography. Students will receive instruction on advanced lighting techniques for indoor, outdoor, and studio situations. Students will learn and utilize proper framing and image composition. The acquisition of high quality audio will be stressed throughout the course. The vital relationship between videography and post-production will be explored at all times in the course. Students utilize and sharpen their skills through the creation of high quality, indepth video projects in a variety of genres.
