During this course, the student studies the anatomy, physiology, and pathology of the spine. Basic Swedish massage strokes are introduced along with the medical terminology necessary for legal and ethical record keeping. Anatomy and physiology will be emphasized as the student practices the massage strokes and body mechanics necessary to perform a full-body Swedish Massage. Students are required to participate in one Saturday clinic for each course.
