3 hours credit, spring A study of the organization and administration of physical education and athletic programs for grades K-12 in the public schools. Topics considered include curriculum planning, organization of a fitness program, understanding legal responsibilities, class organization, public relations, interscholastic athletics programs, scheduling, program philosophies, budgeting and management of finances, purchase and care of equipment and supplies, and intramural programs. Prerequisites: PED 323 & 382.
