Topics covered include the sources of nutrients, the digestion and absorption of nutrients, metabolism of nutrients, diseases associated with nutritional abnormalities, and the use of good nutritional habits to maintain health and control weight at various stages of the life cycle. Prerequisite: 154 or its equivalent. CHM 124 is strongly recommended.
