Students learn the theoretical and practical elements of radio production and radio station operation. Topics include basic announcing, interviewing, tape and digital editing, news reading, and production of station promos and commercials. Technical skills include operation of broadcast console, audio tape recorder, cartridge recorder, digital audio tape recorder, mini disc recorder and Adobe Audition editing software. Students are expected to work independently in the radio studio. Prerequisite: AUDI 1000 OR permission of the instructor.
