4 cr. First of a two course sequence designed to develop purposeful and skilled abilities in the application of interventions in the physical therapy management of patients. Students apply evaluative, diagnostic, and prognostic information to develop a plan of care for specific joint or regional applications of procedural interventions pertaining to electrotherapy, physical agents, and mechanical modalities. Proficiency in the application of interventions including appropriate modification to the intervention plan is emphasized based on monitoring patient response and individual patient needs and characteristics.
