Classes focuses on earlier plays with attention to variety of type; e.g., comedies A Midsummer Night's Dream,TwelfthNight andMuch Ado AboutNothing;histories Richard II and Henry IV; tragedies Macbeth and Othello; romances Cymbeline and Pericles. Elizabethan background and critical study is included. The play choices will be made considering the availability of Shakespeare in performance.
