A detailed study of instrumentation for chemical analysis andmethod selection.Topics covered include ultraviolet- visible spectroscopy, atomic absorption and emission, polarography and voltammetry, thermal analysis,and chromatography. Two 50-minute lectures and two 3-hour labs eachweek,or three 50-minute lectures plus one 4-hour lab a week. Prerequisite: C- or higher in CHM2210,3000. (Offered fall semester in odd academic years; i.e., 2007-08).
