An introduction to the basic principles of atomic and molecular structure, bonding, the states ofmatter, solutions, chemical reaction stoichiometry, gas laws, kinetics and energy changes in chemical reactions. The primary audience is studentswith no prior high school chemistry or those who do not demonstrate competency in the course content based on a placement exam. Three 65-minute lectures and one 2-hour lab a week for 8 weeks.
