This course emphasizes the philosophy of science, evolution, diversity, systematics and ecology. The course emphasizes the mechanisms of evolution, evolutionary history, surveys of organismal diversity and adaptation, ecology, and the relationship between ecology and evolution. Students prepare one major diversity and adaptation presentation and perform one major ecological experiment. Offered Spring only.
