(3 hrs.) (Open to all students; Liberal Arts approved Natural Science) Liberal arts class for non-science majors. An introduction to the human body from the cell to whole organ systems. The course emphasizes the use of the scientific method, examines the perception of beauty and questions whether there is a scientific basis for beauty. The biological and chemical basis behid cosmetics and cosmetic surgical procedures are explored. Does not count in the major.
