(3 hrs.) (Prerequisite: GDE 310 or permission of instructor; lab fee charged) Students explore the role of the design and art director in developing and producing advertising campaigns. Students will concept, write, develop and present campaigns based on real-world strategies and standards. Lectures will cover history of advertising and marketing, modern ad design, strategies and executions, production standards and the designer/art director role in publication concept, design and production. Guests from the advertising industry.
