Future teachers identify and acquire skills to serve exceptional students more effectively in the regular classroom. Students read, discuss and take field trips to expand their knowledge of the broad spectrum of resources availabe for students with disabilities, second language learners and those labeled "at-risk." Historical perspectives as well as inclusion, collaboration, curriculum development and other current topics are included. Prerequisite: Education 290 or permission of instructor. Required 20-hour field experience. Offered Fall Semester only.
