Knowledge of the sources of philanthropic gifts, causes that receive support, motivations that influence giving, the elements of a case for support, the essentials of strategic planning and the construction of budgets and related fundraising targets. Emphasis is placed upon the human behavior aspects of philanthropy and volunteerism.
