All forms of knowledge and belief are products and reflections of social life. This course introduces and develops this idea for the case of science. The study of science as social relations serves as a vehicle for exploring the social nature of thinking and believing in general. Topics include laboratory culture, science and religion, gender and science, and science and democracy. Prerequisites/Corequisites: Prerequisites: STSH 1110/STSS 1110 or STSS 1210 or STSS 1510.
