Manual and computer methods of finding natural frequencies. Self-and nonself-adjoint problems. Eigenfunction expansion. Integral transforms. Methods of approximating natural frequencies: Rayleigh, Rayleigh-Ritz, Ritz-Galerkin, Stodola, Holzer, Myklestad, matrix iteration. Perturbation techniques. Stability criteria.
