Some of the basic principles and recent developments in advanced manufacturing processes and methods will be covered. Basics of mechanics of materials and plasticity theory will be covered initially. Areas of manufacturing to be examined are Part Description, Primary Forming, Secondary Forming, and Finish Machining.
