Lecture course stresses multidisciplinary approaches to the use of microbial system for biotransformation and biodegradation of toxic and hazardous material. Topics include biodegradability, enzymatic transformations, microbial ecology, and properties of organic and inorganic compounds, in situ and ex situ engineering techniques.
