ECSE 6790 - Computational Geometry

Institution:
Roberts Wesleyan University
Subject:
Description:
Literature survey of current research in computational geometry and theoretical computer graphics showing recent efficient algorithms useful in graphics and CAD. Algorithms such as Voronoi networks, geometric searching, convex hulls, divide and conquer in multidimensional space, repeated rotation, preprocessing scenes to draw back to front from any viewpoint, new hidden surface algorithms, haloed line elimination, polyhedron intersection, and algorithms for scenes with thousands of faces are discussed. Major research paper required. Prerequisites/Corequisites: Prerequisites: ECSE 4710 or ECSE 4750, and CSCI 2300 or equivalent. When Offered: Offered on sufficient demand. Credit Hours: 3
