Experiments and lectures demonstrate the design and use of microcomputers as both decision tools and on-line real-time system components in control and communications. Topics include the basic operations of microcomputers, data I/O, analog and digital process control, voice processing, digital filter design, digital communication, and optimal LQR control. Prerequisites/Corequisites: Prerequisites: ECSE 4510. Co-requisite: ECSE 4520 or ECSE 4440 recommended. When Offered: Spring term annually.
