Topics include: guided wave and fiber optics, integrated optics, electro-optic and nonlinear optical switching, pulse and soliton propagation, sources and detectors. Three lecture hours and three laboratory hours per week. Prerequisites/Corequisites: Prerequisite: PHYS 2620. When Offered: Fall term even-numbered years. Cross Listed: Cross-listed as PHYS 4640.
