Stresses application to common tasks such as summarizing large databases, making quick estimates, establishing relationships among variables, forecasting, and evaluating alternatives. Topics include probability, common discrete and continuous distributions, sampling, confidence intervals, hypothesis tests, contingency tables, statistical process control, multiple regression analysis.
