This course focuses on the design theory and research behind effective interface design for hypermedia programs (multimedia computer programs with interactive inks). These interactive programs are the standard form of communication on the WWW, CDs, and DVDs. Students apply theory and research by designing and developing an interactive multimedia program (for WWW or CD). Prerequisites/Corequisites: Prerequisites: 1) an introductory course in communication or another social science course or permission of the instructor; and 2) knowledge of authoring software for multimedia or Web development.
