This seminar course examines theories that have shaped, and continue to drive, the fields of technical communication and human-computer interaction with an emphasis upon the ways each field makes new knowledge. Connections between theoretical findings, research results, and the evolution of both fields as they are practiced in industry, government, and academia are important themes. Course work includes lectures, discussions, student presentations, and written projects. Prerequisites/Corequisites: Prerequisite: COMM 1510 or equivalent. When Offered: Spring term annually.
