This course examines the role of user research in visual communication. Discussions analyze how culture affects the interpretation of visual language. Students use a research-oriented approach to design a term-long project. Systematically, they derive a visual communication problem, determine user-requirements, and create aesthetics based upon audience input. Prerequisites/Corequisites: Prerequisite: COMM 4570.
