The course introduces students to the art of writing and directing short videos, with an emphasis on generating ideas, and realizing them in a well developed final project. Major theories and principles are studied through a comparative analysis of scripts and films. Students learn to work with actors, write their own scripts, and direct videos. Two final projects - a script and a video - will integrate all of the elements covered in class. Lecture/Practicum.Prerequisites/Corequisites: Prerequisites: one 2000-level video and one 2000-level writing course, or permission of instructor. When Offered: Spring term annually. Credit Hours: 4
