Individual and group projects conducted within the framework of a preselected problem area (or number of problem areas). Individual students pursue specialized elements or aspects of the problem area with emphasis on revealing a deeper knowledge of the parts. Group activity centers on discussions of individual contributions and emphasizes the role of these contributions as they build a greater understanding of the total problem area.
