This course is offered in the first summer term. It combines lectures, discussions, demonstrations and scanning practice sessions. The course includes hands-on, laboratory-based introduction to ultrasound scanning principles and techniques with an intensive introduction to abdominal, pelvic and vascular anatomy in preparation for your clinical internship that begins in the fall of the second year of the program. Prerequisites: Admission to the sonography program and successful completion of prior courses in the program progression.
