NURS 2550 involves the continuing study of variations in health across the lifespan, building on previous knowledge you have learned. Topics include variations in the transport of oxygen, in the production and transport of blood, cellular composition and the regulatory systems of the body. Acute, chronic and rehabilitative care are considered along with diagnostic testing and complementary therapies. Skills are reviewed or learned during lab. You will continue to develop your problem-solving and communication skills. The clinical component provides you with experiences in the care of patients with variations in health. Prerequisites: NURS 2250; BIOL 2450; CPR certification.
