This course applies the patterns of knowing in nursing to complex clients in an acute care setting. The theoretical base facilitates empirical, aesthetic, ethical, and personal ways of knowing. The focus is on decision making and intervention in complex situations and stresses greater depth in therapeutic nurse-client relationships. Prerequisites: NURS 3280, 3400, 3500. Corequisite: NURS 4100.
