The four-semester theory sequence integrates sight-singing and keyboard skills with the analysis of harmony, form and contrapuntal procedures from the 16th through the 20th century. Intended for music majors; others by permission. Prerequisite: Concurrent or previous piano study required. Successful placement examination given on the first day of class.
