In this course, you will examine Internet history and evolving World Wide Web developments as a context for designing and managing effective, appropriate Web sites for various audiences. Web search, graphic design principles, emerging Web-related technologies and usability issues are examined individually and in class. You will learn to create Web-based documents using both "raw" HTML and "WYSIWYG" editing programs and experiment with graphics software for the Web. You will explore one topic related to Web management or development in-depth, presenting to the entire class on that topic via the Web. You will participate in small teams to develop and document a Web site for a real or hypothetical organization. Offered annually. Prerequisite: INFM 2500 or equivalent or consent of instructo
