Professional writing requires a unique set of skills that builds upon, but is not the same as, other types of writing expertise such as academic writing, poetry and fiction writing and memoir. In this course, you will learn how to develop topics into thoughtful, creative and marketable works. You will hone your skills in areas like in-depth interviewing, background research and editing. More importantly, you will practice, discuss and receive feedback on the specific type of writing you will do as a professional writer.
