Exploring the concepts, methods and materials of the sculptor, studio projects emphasize an understanding of sculptural processes and aesthetics and the development of individual creativity. The properties and possibilities of a variety of media are taught, ranging from wood, metal fabrication and casting, plaster, found object, mixed media and assemblage. Slide lectures, field trips, reading assignments and critiques. Offered annually. Recommended: ART 1010.
