The course explores eight major South Slavic writers, modernists MIlos Crnjanski (1893 - 1977), Ivo Andric (1892 -1975) and Miroslav Krleza (1893 - 1981), and postmodernists Danilo Kis (1935-1989), Milorad Pavic (b.1948), Dubravka Ugresic (b.1949) and David Albahari (b.1948). The outstanding writer Borislav Pekic (1930 - 1992) extends beyond these two literary movements. Not offered in 2009-2010. 3 points
