Introduction to statistical methods emphasizing their application to practical research problems. Topics include frequency distributions, cross-tabulations and correlation, basic concepts of probability, hypothesis testing, and the analysis of variance. Students will learn to execute basic statistical analyses on a personal computer. - D. Miller Prerequisites: One introductory course in Sociology suggested. Recitation Section Required.
