Through a participative classroom model, the major theories of child and adolescent development and learning fundamental to the educative process are examined. Analysis of applications and implications of psychological knowledge for classroom teaching through observations and research in elementary and secondary school classes. Examines models of instruction and assessment; motivation, teaching, and learning strategies; and gender, economic, and racial issues. Prerequisites: BC1001 or permission of the instructor. 3 points
