Focusing on the literature of the Atlantic Slave Trade, this course culminates in a trip to Ghana. Texts from Africa, Britain, and the Americas, reflecting the historical impact of involuntary migration out of Africa, will include Achebe, Ama Ata Aidoo, Du Bois, Conrad, Equiano, and Baldwin.
