Productions scrutinized in terms of the forms of communication utilized; the class, status, and gender perspective mobilized; and the specified mechanisms used to engage or distance the audience from them. Performance rather than musicological angle emphasized. Prerequisites: Permission of the instructor required. Enrollment limited to 15 students.
