How do social ideals and motives inspire design choices To what extent does the design of human-made things shape the quality of public life We study a variety of objects: buildings, machines, artifacts in everyday use, computer programs, political constitutions, etc. Prerequisites/Corequisites: Prerequisites: any 2000-level course in STS or permission of instructor.
