Focusing on the life story as a window for exploring culture and ethnographic study as a path to understanding individual lives, this seminar examines cultural content, methodology, theory, and ethical issues in a variety of life story genres, including journalism and films as well as oral history and autobiography. Research projects include fieldwork inter-views. Prerequisites: ANTH 10400; two courses in the social sciences. 3 credits. (F or S,Y)
