Semester Hours: 3 Fall, Spring This capstone seminar course rounds out the student's preparation in Hispanic literatures and cultures through an in-depth exploration of a changing series of topics fundamental to both Peninsular and Latin American literatures and cultures. It exposes the student to key concepts of literary theory and provides training in the completion of a complex research project. Students produce a substantial research paper by the end of the course, which may function as a chapter of the senior departmental honors thesis. If the student is qualified to pursue departmental honors. Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: Senior standing.
