Semester Hours: 3 Fall, Spring Fundamental physics of sound; production, propagation and detection. Emphasis is placed on musical instruments and human voice and hearing. Sound reproduction, architectural acoustics and noise considerations are studied. (2 hours lecture, 2 hours laboratory.) Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: High school algebra and geometry. Credit given for this course or PHYS 7 or 8.
