Semester Hours: 4 Fall, Spring Fundamental laws and principles of mechanics, heat, sound, light, electricity and magnetism. Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: Prerequisite or corequisites: MATH 71, 72. Credit given for this course or PHYS 1A, but not for both. Students must take 11B concurrently unless credit has already been received for the equivalent. 11A applies toward the natural science distribution requirement only upon successful completion of the corresponding laboratory course 11B.
