Semester Hours: 3 Periodically Analyzes the human geography of South Asia, (i.e., the countries of Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Maldives). Emphasis will be on cultural, economic and political geography. Topics covered include natural resources, religion, gender roles, migration, governance, trade, development, child labor and contemporary slavery.
