Semester Hours: 3 Fall, Spring Through the use of calculators and computers, students are introduced to a variety of mathematical functions and their application as models for describing events and predicting outcomes in business, the sciences and the liberal arts. Models include sequences and the linear, polynomial, rational and exponential functions. Mathematical basics are reviewed and no prior experience with computing is assumed. Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: At least two years of high school mathematics and Math Proficiency/Placement scores as interpreted by advisement.
