Topics to be covered in selected works include: from the barrio to Atzlan, place and origin in Latino consciousness; bilingualism, its promise and betrayal; hustling and the American dream, modes of economic survival; the Latina experience, outgrowing martyrdom; Latino myth-ecology, nature and the supernatural.
