The course will address four questions: What were the conditions in Ireland that led to the Great Irish Famine Was the Famine an act of nature or a failure of public and private responsibility How did the Famine change Ireland and the world What is the legacy of the Great Irish Famine Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: Same as IRE 47.
