In this course students listen to the voices of dissidence and read texts as an expression of a culture in which politics and literature are intertwined, reading texts from Vietnamese writers living in Vietnam, or in exile in America and Australia. Prerequisite: open to all, but recommended for sophomores, and beyond. (Etienne, offered occasionally)
