This seminar focuses its attention on the contributions of Thorstein Veblen to economic thought. In particular, Veblen's contributions in the areas of economic methodology, consumption theory, production theory, and economic development are examined. In addition, Veblen's critique of the accepted economic theory of his day and his critique of Marxian economics are examined. Prerequisites: ECON 301 and ECON 305, or permission of instructor.
